Awesome work! I would imagine a better cooling system would help keep power and life in the motor since the cylinders are not being wetted anymore

I did the same thing with my 2003 Jeep and it idled PERFECTLY when I tried to drive it it would die when I tried to accel but with more tweaking I think It would have worked

It works, I've done it but not much for power. The fastest I could go was 57mph flat roads. But, it does work!!!

there was a guy in 1971 that took a Dodge Coronet and had a 3 in aluminum tube under the hood and dripped gas at the inlet of the tube which was filled with steel wool and it got 70+ mpg

It takes fuel and air to make power. The carburetor or injectors atomize the fuel or “vaporize” it. Less fuel, less power.
