They give alcohol wipes to wipe around the babies umbilical cord n stuff, yea u can use water but the wipes actually clean it from the blood and stuff

Also first pediatrician appointments are at 1-2 weeks not three days. They will see them sooner if there is a reason to but generally it’s 1-2 weeks.
