When I was diagnosed with OCD I was so confused. I never cared to have my pens lined perfectly, or my shoes all in a row. I don’t touch things repeatedly. I didn’t understand the diagnosis. What I didnt know was how broad the OCD is. My OCD triggers are my children and family. I will obsess over the fear of something bad happening to them until I am inconsolable. ESPECIALLY if I see something on the news or online that’s scary. Even if the child lives..the fear takes over. I know that when the time comes and I am no longer nursing, I can take the route of medication and I likely will. I just want to know it gets better…that I won’t feel controlled by these fears for the rest of my life. I want to feel normal again.
