I can’t even imagine the terror of even having to use these. The wobbling/shaking and having to STEER it up the hill AND THEN feeling in roll back and sinking into the gravel. Omg

For who doesn’t know what these are for, sometimes due to the big weight the trucks brakes catch on fire, and since the driver can’t use them he has to stop the truck somehow, and he uses these ramps

For those confused when drivers have lost control in icy cases and or normal they slam the brakes, and the brakes go out so the ramp is used for them to steer the way of the ramp to catch the truck!

saw a walmart or sam’s club semi use a runaway ramp on i70 when i was like 10ish we saw / smelled the smoke from the brakes before we saw it, crazy how far up those big rigs get

I was driving by that same run away hill before and saw the truck driver almost hit the top wall. He came so close it was insane

as scary as it looks, it's so much safer than letting the truck lose control in the canyon 😰 I-70 exists through sheer willpower, those passes are STEEP ⛰️
