my dad got a 2018 f150 and he just had this problem at 80k miles a month ago. he had to get new transmission for $7k

Fords always have issues. Not sure why so many people swear by them, not very reliable vehicles. Especially the trucks.

I’ve never seen the 10r80 go bad. But the 6r80 is the car I’ve had more issues with. But then again it was computer related issues

Believe gm’s also have the same transmission. Ford is called the 10r80, and gm’s is the 10L90. Ford and gm made it in partnership. More or less identical transmissions.

you have the 10r60 the 10r80 is in mustangs and F150s I mean they probably have the same issue though
