When my mom used to give our African Grey liquid medicine from a syringe, we had a similar issue! Eventually she figured out using a second syringe fhat he could chew on would keep his beak open

My red lored hen is 44 and also has a case of the crusties! Feet and beak. We use hemp oil too. Rocky is a beautiful boy. I love his coloring. 🥰

I was going to ask you if you use hemp oil. That's what I use for the worst areas. It can sometimes smell strongly, though. Not as nice as coconut.
