Cool. My husband died when our son was 4 months old and I was told I had to sell my car to qualify. I drove a 2008 ford escape… so I got not one cent.

My sister and her husband both lost their job at the same time, and the food stamp office told them they would have to sell their car in oder to get them. They had 2 children.

My baby dad/boyfriend won’t let me reapply for food stamps. He wants to provide and I thank God for him and his desire to provide for us. I want the family not just the kids.

Texas is a tough one to get approved yet alone get that much on SNAP. Down here it’s $291 per person with no income and get sent to look for a job. All income coming into the home has to be reported.
