Calgary hosted the olympics in 1988 spent 5 billion . Literally made a ski resort just for it and its one of my fav resorts we have. all of it still used for xgames and olympics as well.

It should be known that countries don't make money from the Olympics. Unlike other sports tournaments, host cities actually lose any profit from all the infrastructure that has to accomodate

The Sydney International Equestrian Centre (home of the Equestrian sports for the Sydney Olympics) is still maintained and used every week. Crazy to see this!
