@tylerpath: If you’re serious about getting your foirdt 5 pullups, a great way to regress and work up to a full bodyweight pullup is by using the assisted pullup machine. Truly and under-utilized tool that literally trains the pullup movement pattern most closely to an actual pullup #fyp #Fitness #gym #bodybuilding
been doing them forever, still can't get a single pull up without the assist

I don’t understand how to use this. What does the selected weight affect?

I love the assist. It’s such a good feeling after a while once you don’t need it anymore.

I can do 5 for the first set but only 2 for next sets should I just use assisted or continue

Nail cable/machine rows and lat pull downs and you'll get there regardless.

This machine recently helped me begin doing weighted pull ups. Currently only repping 10lbs but trust the process

The machine at my gym’s grips r so fat that grip is super limiting. I can’t even get my vers grips around the bar, is it even worth adding all that assistance to compensate

How often should I train it? I know to focus on pause reps and slow eccentrics but idk how often or how many sets and reps. Also how often should I try unassisted pull-ups?
