I have been saying this to my mom for the longest time, but she doesn’t want to put sand because it brings fleas. Is this true or is there something we can do to prevent the fleas?

Yse Pete moss to cover it. Helps keep it moist. Water it 3 times a day and put down starter fertilizer.

What’s the best type of sand to use? I have a very uneven yard with skunks foraging for grubs making it worse and an 86 yo in the house. Concerned about uneven ground.

Don’t you have to be concerned with soil content with a high content of clay? if you put sand with clay it turns into concrete
