I just bought a case (12 bottles) of Antinori Tignanello 2021 for $125 per bottle here in Norway. For storage for 8+!years. For casual drinking my max price is $25, and for that you get good wine! 🍷

My bottle, label, capsule, DOCG and cork total 1,6 EUR per bottle of wine. This is without the wine, so without the investiment cost for the vineyard, the hundreds of hours in the vineyard,

This only works with true transparency via a blockchain ledger or similar, otherwise im sure the middle man will always get the margin. Not the producer.

Yeah but more often than not those wine producers are selling at a loss. They will go bankrupt if they don’t get SOME revenue for the production year.

Mass production is the key. And the cheaper bottles don’t use cork.

A bottle of 3.5€ in France will be 20$ in the US… it doesn’t indicate anything but the margin… and for all the bottles distributed in …let’s say Carrefour… even 3€ bottles, the client benefits from it
