my kids don't see us scream and yell at each other, they do see us fight, but they also see us step back, go to our own space to calm down, and go back to each other and have a discussion.

I've been married to my husband for almost 17 years. we still tell each other we love each other multiple times a day and hug in front of the kids they see how much we love each other

I don’t think we limit this to just our daughters. I think our sons are told from a young age showing vulnerability and compassion is weakness. Our sons should know too it’s cool to LOVE your partner

Thank you for saying this. I grew up watching my dad verbally abuse my mom and then later on my sister and I. I didn't know it wasn't normal until college. I'm better now...but those scars are real.
