Please bear in mind all fathers should contribute without fail, however sisters are also wise and know that the UK legal systems provides benefits that are rarely accessible to fathers who do not get shared custody (UK family courts rule horribly against fathers) Let's not forget legal costs for bros that can run into tens of thousands of pounds. The system is designed to break fathers, and many sisters know this. What greater tool of revenge is there other than this?

I've seen and know men who have hit rock bottom mentally and financially because they've had the kids taken away from them in a bitter divorce. These men are top earners but the cost is substantial.
