@thesolaallyson: Whoever refers to music as "play" amuses me, honestly... Music is a lot of WORK! Sound people? Taking into consideration the acoustics of the space before starting at all? And ṣèbí it is whatever space the client makes available that one will use? Making sure sound decibel is proportional to its intensity and still fit into the space without it being too low or too high? Sound aesthetics ńkọ́? WORK! The Musicians! Arriving early? Soundcheck? Listening to every note being played and making sure everything is OK? Appearing as your songs are? Not to send the wrong semantics/body language? That's a code that must be cracked and it could take some inner work before arriving there... Then the performance gangan!! Understanding the MOTIVE of those who put the events in place and doing thematic analysis before the event? Knowing the appropriate songs to sing and not to sing in relation to the event taking place? Moving from one song into another in a sensible flow? Setting the mood which determines what direction the event goes? Holding the inner state of people in the palm of our hands in those moments...! Somebody's head will just be working like clock ni!
