also PSA: flight attendants only get paid for the time they doors close to the time the doors open, so anyone who says “why don’t they clean the plane better” they don’t get paid to clean the plane

I have never once wiped down my airplane seat/seatbelt/arm rests and had them come back anything but the nastiest brown/black shade

I was under the impression if you wash/sanitize your hands that’s better. And I thought since covid they all have the extra HEPA filters or whatever it’s called?? I definitely could be wrong!

At most US carrier the FAs don’t clean the plane. They have a contracted team and they work hard but no those planes are FILTHY. And the water is gross.

FA here! Many of us aren’t the ones who clean the planes. They don’t even clean our galley areas between flights. We wipe down our own counters and seats. Planes are GROSS!!!!!!

As a flight attendant, we don’t clean the plane. There’s cleaners for that. But planes only get deep cleaned 1x a year when they get a full maint. work up.
