So if you are speaking with friends, you use Ciao, but if you are speaking with older people or with people you dont know, you use Salve/Buongiorno-Buona Sera?

Fun fact: in Hungarian we kinda stole “Ciao” and use it as an informal greeting. Also we write it like “Csáó” 😃
