I worked at a bar where I got fresh eggs and left them at work. I went in the next day and the manager threw them out because I didn’t put them in the fridge. I was livid and explained you don’t have to do that because they weren’t cleaned yet

DO REFRIGERATE THOSE EGGS AT HOME! Grocery stores don't keep them in the fridge because the eggs go bad during transport. But you really should put them in the fridge at home

Eggs in US are washed. The protective layer is then removed. Here we don't wash them, sinyiu can keep them to up a month outside the fridge

We don’t put eggs in the fridge in the supermarket to prevent condensation in the egg after you buy them and you travel home. Put them in the fridge when you get home

US will wash the eggs so the layer is gone, for most people this is better way to avoid bacteria, since not all people can wash egg properly

I would also recommend trying a different grocery store. Aldi is more expensive plus not the best quality. I would say if you want cheap and good go to Lidl or dirk. For a little bit pricier AH

Ag person here! The food safety standards in the US require egg producers to wash their eggs before selling them, to reduce the potential of any foreign bodies (like bacteria) from the chickens or

It's not because they're farm eggs, it's because eggs are processed differently here. In the USA eggs are washed, which removes the protective layers of the eggs, so they need to be refrigerated. 1/2
I don't know but all eggs come from chickens so from farms. refrigerate eggs don't change anything

When I give my eggs away to friends and family (living in Colorado), I always tell them that they are not washed and can stay on the counter for a month. And they taste way better too.

You can not refrigerate most eggs but you're also going to want to use them more quickly. Basically you get twice the shelf life using a fridge

the eggs in north America only need to be refrigerated because they are washed in a bleach solution that washes away the natural protective layer the hens put on when they lay an egg
