I used to be against crates, my first dog was anxious (a rescue from a bad situation), first car ride I crated her and I saw her relax. From then on, at home, I left it out for her and she loved it

In my country (switzerland), it’s just illegal aswell. And i never saw a dog in a crate my whole life (except for transportation or medical reason)

In Sweden you can have a crate but you have to remove the door. I think it’s fair, animals don’t belong in cages

Off topic but Sweden also outlawed the breeding of mush face dogs too. That one I agree with, as cute as they are it breaks my heart how they suffer.

We crate our dogs at night and when we are out of the house! Our two curious beagles would get into way too many things. So it’s safe for them and safe for the house!

I prefer mine to be in a crate in case of an emergency. I’ll know exactly where to find them or be able to tell emergency personnel where they are in case of fires, tornadoes, etc.

I will always crate train because I want my dog comfortable if they ever have to stay at the vet (god forbid), and to keep them from destroying things/getting hurt when they're still learning

I live on Finland i really have never heard anyone using The crate. Also i really dont understans why anybody would need them 😅

A Finn here! You can use a crate in here, but the thing that is forbidden is to keep the animal in too small cage or too long time. U can make the cage a safe page for the dog, but not for punishment

I just got my 11 week old puppy. he likes his crate, it a material one. but he was fine until I went to bed. he yelped for awhile and finally calmed down. I woke up at 5:30 am took him out he went P.
