@emmettscardiacquest: Emmett’s Cardiac Quest Update 7/16: Today, we had a conference call with UPMC's director of cardiology and administrators, and they decided they can no longer offer Emmett the cone procedure. Both UPMC and St. Louis Children's Hospital failed Emmett. Both sides could have advocated harder. This process was started in MAY. His transfer was delayed due to financial considerations, leading to a Cath-Lab procedure that showed devastating results. UPMC has refused to help Emmett, leaving us with no options but hospice care. We will be having a meeting tomorrow with Emmett’s STL team to figure out what’s next. We're grateful for your love and support, but we need time to cherish every moment with Emmett. We'll continue to advocate for him, but for now, we ask for privacy and understanding. Our family is hurting, and every minute with Emmett is precious.
