they don't respect foster carers or kinship carers. i was raised by my grandma in the 2000s and a bit of the 2010s. her payment for me was around $2 a day. completely unjust

As a foster carer in SA to a child under the guardianship in Victoria I’d say the department is failing due to lack of communication, transparency and a court system that is broken.

It's an absolutely joke - kinship carer paying for someone else's kid on my disability pension. Cannot return to work because I've now got a 2 yr old hanging off me

I would love to foster if I could be paid a wage, and i havequite a lot of experience with complex kids. But I won't work for the government for free, and I won't go into poverty for them.
