@the.tiser: The company behind one of Australia’s most popular clothing brands, the Oodie, has been fined for failing to include fire hazard warning labels on multiple Oodies. Davie Clothing – founded by Adelaide multi-millionaire Davie Fogarty – allegedly failed to include high fire danger warning labels to six different styles of the Kids Beach Oodie, required by the Consumer Goods Safety Standard 2017. The ACCC said the company has paid a fine of $101,280 and had initiated a voluntary recall of the six different beach Oodies – the avocado, fruit faces, happy flowers, blue tie dye, charcoal and stripe designs. ACCC Deputy Chair Catriona Lowe said the company’s inability to meet the standards was “unacceptable”. “Fire hazard warning labels are crucial to alert consumers to the high fire danger of products and to help keep children safe,” Ms Lowe said. #oodie #oodiesquad #oodies #daviefogarty #sharktank #sharktankaustralia
