My husband lied about a very serious situation, then when I found out he withheld other little details that came out later. I lost all trust now I can’t trust him at all.

We have a platinum rule. If you'd be ashamed of the other finding out about it, it's cheating or breaking trust. It's not the info or action, it's the intent. Works for us very well.

Women can tell when you’re withholding. We usually can sense a shift, which makes it even worse when we feel like someone’s being dishonest about their feelings.

Part of love is feelings are valid -period- & one partner doesn’t decide for the other how to feel. If you broke trust, don’t delay healing w/ more lies. If s/he has trust issues, help them work thru!
