@nobudgetbabe: Replying to @gigigirl202123 Comments like these promote black and white thinking, and it's dangerous. Is a million dollars a lot of money? Yes. Is it hard to build a million dollar account? Not if you get started early. Will some people need or want more? Yes. Does this mean that if you're unable to invest more that you just shouldn't do it because "a million isn't enough"? Absolutely not. Because something is ALWAYS better than nothing. I'm sure there's a lot of people who would LOVE to have a million dollars right now - why? Because it means choices, it means flexibility, it means more freedom. I'd much rather have a million dollars in the bank and $40k a year in income than $0. Anyone who says otherwise is strange. If you want to make more with less, simply start earlier. Yes, it does get to be that easy because that is exactly how compound interest works. It turns small amounts of money into LARGE amounts of money over TIME. This is why I keep saying to start NOW with whatever you can, and increase where possible to help you hit your goals faster. Don't ever let someone shame your efforts. The only people who will look down on you for trying are those doing less than you, because it just reminds them of all the ways they could have taken action in their lives but didn't. Don't let the crabs in a bucket get you.
