It’s far enough from the sidewall. You can repair up to 1/2” of a sidewall. The problem is that is a junk patch. Should be a plug, patch.

Just use a plug. Safety Seal plugs are the best. Been using them for 35 years. NEVER ever had one fail. Even at speeds of 130+. Patches are not necessary and nothing more than a cash grab from shops
