I always said I would never yell at my children but  after I had my twins [my daughter was 2.5 when they were born] I was so overwhelmed. When they turned about 1.5/2  I couldn’t control my emotions. I found myself angry and yelling all the time. I felt like a monster.  I would cry myself to sleep sick from  guilt  promising to do better tomorrow but then I would repeat the cycle again. It wasn’t until I finally took action to learn and implement new skills that things started to change.  I started learning how to regulate my emotions, communicate better, set boundaries, simplify my home, set up systems of organization, calm my nervous system and control my anger.  For over a year I haven’t screamed or lashed out at my kids , I rarely go to bed feeling guilty any more and I am finally breaking the cycle and showing up as the mom I always wanted to be  I became certified as an Anger Management Specialist and now I want to teach YOU the skills that have helped to transform me from an angry yelling mom to one who her children feel safe coming to and who is able to be empathetic.
