I’ve been to York and I pictured myself living there, if I could. I might have to if trump comes president again.

Went to med school in UK, then moved to Canada to work & now I live in US. The US system isn’t perfect but it’s MUCH better than the “free” nationwide HC which is v low quality & not patient centered

so i have a friend who lives in the UK and she told me that the wait times are crazy for the dr and the requirements for certain diagnostic procedures/conservative cancer treatments to be covered

I’ll keep my 7 weeks paid time off and my pews pews and not pay the ridiculous amount of tax.

So in the US I have unlimited PTO, 4.5 months off maternity leave and the men have 3 months for paternity leave! They are getting better about that here but it is company dependent I know 😕

With regards to you not having guns in the UK, are there illegal guns and crime involving guns?

We get on average 3 full weeks of vacation, plus 6 holidays, plus 10 paid sick days. We can take leaves of absense.

For the Healthcare thing, I would pay $8400 more every year in federal taxes in the UK. I'm healthy with good insurance. I would be losing a ton of money there.

Paid paternity leave in the US exists. I was off 6 weeks for both births. The first month was 100% pay after it was 80%. I could have gone 3 months

the problem is that the additional u pay in taxes likely ends up more than u would pay here for Healthcare if you're working and have company Healthcare, and I get 28 days off 😊
