Just finished HIMYM 9 seasons straight. I tried to watch Acolyte or whatever its called lost focus 3 times tried to rewatch 3 x HORRIBLE Shiw.

So much great SW extended canon content in novels, games, etc that could be virtually direct copied into a series/film & almost guarantee a hit, but it’d take too much work to ruin them I guess. 🤷♂️

They need to put Filoni in charge of the whole thing, and keep making stories off of the Clone Wars series. Like Bad Batch and Ahsoka. That's it.

Agree with almost everything except the original trilogy’s social commentary was polar opposite of what was normal for that timeframe and went back to the basics of good vs evil

I don’t care that much about any star wars movies, I liked Mando and Andor was too boring to finish. I’m enjoying Acolyte and I don’t get what about it is bad or heavy handed or whatever

When the show started I was worried about the production value. The first episode did seem cheaply made. There were times throughout the series that I found the dialogue a little rough.

I personally liked the Acolyte. It isn't perfect, but I enjoyed it, it had some cool new lore additions brought back from Legends. (next reply)

The problem with writers today is many write the social aspects then try to work the story to fit that. The idea is to write the story first then weave the views around that. They're writing backward.

We want stories with characters who’s morals we all can look up to, or at least empathize with. We want to see a fall or redemption story that is believable within the structure of that universe.
