The card one is bad tip. You can use credit cards and debit cards to tap in however, SMRT charges three dollars a day for international issued cards so it’s much better to get easy link and top up..

Regarding the EZ-Link card, my friends from overseas were unable to tap in at the MRT gantry because I told them their debit cards could be used. In the end, they had to get EZ-Link cards.
