We only used a hat in the hospital to bring our little one home. Even our eldest who was born in winter, we used more of a thicker hat/hood from pram suit x

Sudacream rates poorly as it constrains zinc, which if taken in huge quantities can be harmful but zinc is also essential for the body in the correct measure, but agree never needed it for newborns x
