It can be really tempting to run with Helvetica and call it day… And don’t get me wrong, it’s a BEAUTIFUL typeface but it isn’t the right choice for a lot of projects 😤 When selecting or creating a typeface for your project, consider these things:  🧬 What DNA can you bring from the logomark to the typography? It could be as simple as a corresponding angle or stylistically similar through roughened edges like in this example.  🤪 Does it match the brand’s personality? Ensure there is a direct relationship between the tone of the brand and the typeface you select. For example, a bank wouldn’t use Comic Sans - it sends the wrong message! 💭 Don’t treat typography as an afterthought! Thoughtful consideration must go into both your typography and your logomark to truly create an effective visual identity.
