bc a lot of creators put out stuff under the video essay category when it's just structured commentary or a think piece. the difference can be thin, but yeah it's a classification issue imo

I have a personal gripe with the trend of video essay = long video. A hallmark of a good essayist is the ability to convey complex analysis in a way that is easily digestible and succinct. If you can't fit your essay into the space of around 30 minutes tops, it needs redrafting.
