There was 4 of us and we always blew out the candle on our siblings cakes on their birthday. Never once did it upset me or did I think anything of it, until o saw this video.

I had one birthday party in 1979. My sister (18 months younger) threw a hissy fit over my presents. My mom let her open ALL of them. I opened none. Talk about confusing and upset!

I have a blended family with 5 kiddos. 4 of them have bdays just a week apart in 2 different months. Our kids also go to their other parents house every other weekend so we definitely lump those bdays

She'll always remember. My Mother and I have bdays 10 days apart. She combined my day with hers. Everyone else got their own bday dinner and cake. I got what SHE wanted. I don't do bdays anymore.
