@magnusthetherapydog: I am really fortunate to be able to work from home, particularly because it allows me more time to spend with my 2 daughters. Very often while I am busy working at the the computer for hours and hours, my girls will come into my office to hang out with me. Even if I am immersed in work, at least we are all still together, talking, laughing etc. I have always been aware that my time with them is limited and pretty soon they will both be living elsewhere, starting the next chapter of their lives.
