As a UK midwife this seems so odd to me as we literally stay in the room for anyone on continuous monitoring, 1-1 care in active labour. Cant even leave to go to the loo without break cover

My watch literally alerted me of high stress last night. As the only nurse in triage, in the ER of a level 1 trauma center, with a 5+ hour wait in the WR🤦🏼♀️Ya think??!

Do you not stay in the room with the labourers? I am a midwife in the UK, once in established labour all women receive 1-1 midwifery care. We do not leave the room during the labour and immediate PP

When my daughter was born there was some kind of tech issue and a nurse had to sit in our room to constantly monitor… it was crazy and we loved it🤪
