cleaning the house was the bottom of my list when I had a baby. my husband made sure trash was picked up and dishes done but that was all we really cared about dealing with a new baby.

I apologized to my aunty after my son was born for the mess and she gave me a hug and told me "don't ever apologize for your house, it's LIVED in my darling, you have a baby and they come first right now" I burst into tears. Just a little but of compassion goes along way. now I don't apologize for my house, ever. don't like it? leave.
