When I was a new mom, I really struggled with loneliness. To fill that void, I constantly planned play dates and outings with other moms who had kids my kids' age. It got to the point where I depended on these social interactions for all my happiness. If someone couldn’t get together, I would find myself getting really depressed about the day. 😔 This went on for a number of years until I had a best friend breakup that was emotionally devastating. I cried every night for an embarrassingly long time about losing this friendship. But it made me realize that I was depending on other people for my happiness way too much, and it wasn’t healthy. 💔 I decided to embark on a self-love journey and find things that made me happy that I could provide for myself. This led me to starting businesses from home, where I found so much joy and satisfaction💖 Now, it’s been almost 11 years since I had my first baby, and I really just prefer to hang out with my husband most of the time—he’s my best friend. It’s gotten to the point where I actually don’t enjoy having people over at my house anymore like I used to. It’s funny how we change as time goes on. 💖 But I do worry that my new baby might feel lonely since I don’t hang out with people as much anymore, and none of my friends have kids her age. There’s also a six-year age gap between her and her closest sibling 😅 To all the moms out there, remember that it’s okay to change and grow. And Finding happiness within yourself is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself in my opinion 🫶💖 Have you ever felt this way? How did you handle it? ⬇️☺️ #momvlog #momvloggersoftiktok #momlife #newmom
