The 3800 is if your bag is never returned or found. Not the amount you can go spend on reasonable and necessary items and then get reimbursed, and you definitely don’t get up to 3800 for a damaged bag

THANK YOU! They canceled my flight right at booking, I was rebooked for a flight several hours later that kept getting delayed then finally cancelled, then my flight the next day was cancelled. (1/2)
