I believe he said tickets weren't refundable at the moment. Correct me if I'm wrong. Maybe they couldn't access the system that allows them to do refunds.

Even though my original delay was an auxiliary issue, on tarmac the IT outage happened. Flight cancelled 6 hrs later, new flight 2 days later- no hotel, no meal, no nothing
