@natgeowild: As incredible as this huge jellyfish plume filmed by @Bertie Gregory is to witness, it is also a sign of things to come. Jellyfish can tolerate higher temperatures compared to other sea creatures, so their presence here in Raja Ampat, in such large numbers as well, is thought to be an indicator of climate change and rising ocean temperatures. Furthermore, as we continue to overfish our oceans, jellyfish are becoming more common as they take advantage of the lack of fish in the food chain. 🎥: #AnimalsUpClose with Bertie Gregory
