Birds have been a passion for me my whole life. I have quite a few species as pets, including chickens, and I love knowing that all birds are dinosaurs and they survived extinction!

I learned recently that the asteroid hit around 66M years ago but the dinosaurs didn’t fully go existinct until 65M yrs ago. can you explain how that process unfolded

There is evidence of surviving toothed birds after the kpg extinction. The pelagornithids survived until the pliocene-pleistocene boundary.
