Charge only cables will have two prongs sticking further forward, while the middle prongs receed. A data cable will have all the prongs lined up.

That orange USB cable looks like the ones that come with Ring cameras, and its charge only, which is very annoying

get yourself a usb cable tester, you plug in both sides and they tell you via leds what pins are connected. I've got the treedix one has a battery so doesn't need external power.

First gut instinct was micro usb. And when you plugged in that orange cable I had a feeling lmao. I always try multiple cables before I assume equipment is faulty because usb is always weird.
