Did you have to do a hearing test before you started speech therapy?? Her preschool just said to get her hearing check but I know that’s not the issue

my son is 19 months old and hes my first baby so im also still learning and its like he wants to say things but doesnt know how to sometimes and gets frustrated he says little things and i just taught him “blue” and “green”. how did you get your son evaluated for a delay can they do this at my pediatrician office because im getting concerned maybe i should have him in therapy :/
