cheesy garlic loaf bread🧀🧄🍞 Ingredients: Dough: 180ml (3/4 cup) warm milk 25g (2 tbsp) granulated sugar 7g (2 1/4 tsp) instant dry yeast 1 large egg 375g bread flour (3 cups) 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp oregano 1/2 tsp basil 45g (3 tbsp) unsalted butter, softened Garlic butter filling: 113g (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, softened 8-10 garlic cloves, minced 1/2 tbsp parsley 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 tsp basil 1/4 tsp oregano 180-200g mixed mozzarella and cheddar cheese Garlic butter topping: 30g (2 tbsp) unsalted butter, melted 1/2 tsp parsley Instructions: 1. In a large bowl, whisk together the warm milk, sugar, and yeast until dissolved. (If using active dry yeast, let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.) 2. Add the egg and mix well. 3. Add the flour, salt, garlic powder, oregano, and basil. Knead until a shaggy dough forms. 4. Add the butter and knead for 8–10 minutes, or until smooth and elastic. 5. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1-1 1/2 hours, or until doubled in size. 6. Filling: mix all the garlic butter filling ingredients until smooth. 7. Roll the dough into a 12×16-inch rectangle. Spread the garlic butter filling evenly, then sprinkle the cheese. 8. Roll the dough tightly into a log. Chill for 10-15 minutes (optional, this makes slicing easier). 9. Slice the log lengthwise, twist the two halves together with the cut sides facing up. 10. Gently compress the twisted dough, then cut it in half to make two loaves. 11. Place each loaf into a lined 9x5-inch loaf pan. Cover and let rise for 30-45 minutes, or until puffy. 12. Brush with melted butter & parsley, and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30-40 minutes, or until golden brown. Loosely cover with foil if the top browns too quickly. 13. Brush with the remaining melted butter while warm. Let cool slightly before slicing. Enjoy! note: don’t add too much cheese, or the center may sink while cooling, like mine did😅 #baking #Recipe #bread #cheesygarlicbread #garlicbread
