Long ago property taxes were based on the number of rooms in a house. Closets were counted as a room, so many homes were built w/out closets and wardrobes were used instead. ❤️

I’m curious.. regular doors (at least here in Sweden) have different levels of security in case of fire and acts as fire cells.. how does these type of doors protect against fire? Do you know? :)

We turned a walk-in closet in one of our bedrooms into a full bathroom. Then on the other side of the room we built a new walk-in closet with a barn door. Barn doors: 73% more pleasing than pocket!

I'm 5'1 and this is why I need an older house. Newer houses are made for giants, like how are you supposed to reach the top cabinet without a ladder?!?

They hung their clothes on smaller hangers too, in my sister’s house (early 1900’s) the closets aren’t deep enough to hang a regular hanger on the bar. Closets are also about 3 1/2’ wide. 😬
