@zenwander: 🇨🇭If you can only choose one hike in Switzerland, make it this one👇 🏔️ Stoos Ridge Trail is one of the most scenic ridge hikes in Switzerland and very accessible, offering picturesque views of both the mountains and beautiful Luzern lake. To reach the trail you will ride the steepest funicular train in the world and pass through the beautiful car-free alpine village, Stoos. 💵 In 2024, the ticket to reach the ridge trail is 56 CHF, full price. If you want to take only the funicular then hike all the way up from Stoos, the ticket is 23.2 CHF. 🚗 To get to the Stoos funicular take the train to Schwyz, Bahnhof then the bus to Schwyz, Stoosbahn, directly to the funicular station. If you are travelling by car, drive to the Stoosbahn parking at Grundstrasse 232. 🥾 First you have to take the funicular to reach Stoos village, then you have two options to reach the trail that starts at Klingenstock, you can take a chair lift or hike up.
