It's called "metacognition": the act of stepping outside your own mind and watching it work. I think about this a lot. If you can observe your thoughts from a neutral perspective, you can reshape them. If you can reshape your thoughts, you can reshape yourself. Reality isn't as solid as we think. Each of us sees the world through a lens shaped by our own experience, biases, and beliefs. What feels like an undeniable truth to one person might be a complete illusion to another. We subconsciously shape our own world, filtering everything through the narratives we've built in our minds. But if our thoughts are this malleable, then so is reality, right? Of course, reality isn't entirely in our hands. Physics, chance, and the randomness of life all play their part, but understanding metacognition is the closest thing we have to taking the reins, to making the intangible real. It's a way of bringing who you want to be into existence. Therefore, if we can change the way we think, we can literally change the world around us.
