The leg pain will calm down eventually! Riding uses leg muscles so differently from like every other workout, it takes a long time to build the muscle memory and feel natural/steady

I will say, a forward horse isn't necessarily an easier horse, each horse has their difficulties but a less forward horse like Ella is a lot safer to learn on. You'd rather them misbehave by not 1/

Tip: give her a bit more rien while cantering bc there head go forward and back so you need to match your hands with it xx (trying to help)
