I mean I don't feel disconnected from my old name. Hell I would actually go by it IF I didn't grow to hate it from just how people couldn't grasp how to pronounce/spell it. And yet when a celeb has my name they can spell/pronounce it just fine.

my deadname had a cool story but it never "clicked" for me. the few nicknames i had over the years felt better. now my name im like ah! yes! thats me! and i get told it fits me now
