So I am currently doing my dissertation on Twelfth through the lens of adaptation theory and I would say they are adaptations, but they are what we would call “unannounced adaptation”.

have you read iris kelly doesn’t date it’s not an adaptation of much ado but they put on a production of much ado and the elements of the play in it are really fun
