My dream girl workshop vision is finally coming to life all thanks to @Valspar ! #sponsored
For paint, I used #Valspar Oil Porch, Floor & Patio Paint in the color Ultra White (gloss). I applied two coats total then I got to taping! For the checkers, I used the same paint but in the color Dark Grey (gloss).     For the cabinets, I used Valspar’s Cabinet & Furniture Oil-Enriched Enamel in the color Renew Blue (8003-37D)... can you tell I’m obsessed with this color, lol?!    Don’t forget to visit www.valspar.com & get up to 10 free paint chips delivered to your doorstep!
Let me know what you think! Stay tuned for part four       Quick disclaimer: This space will be used as a workshop with no cars driven on the surface. If you are planning to have cars parked in your garage, make sure to use garage floor paint that can withstand vehicular traffic. Also, make sure you prep the floors appropriately prior to painting! My concrete was bare meaning it was not previously coated so here’s how I prepped it!
Step 1 - do a water test to see how much water the surface will absorb. If it’s absorbed right away, that means the concrete is porous and the coating will easily stick to the surface. If it doesn’t absorb the water, then the surface needs to be etched!   Step 2 - check for grease, dirt and oil stains. If you have any stains, apply Valspar Fast Prep Ready-To-Use Solution, scrub with a stiff brush & rinse with water!  Step 3 - if the water isn’t absorbent, use Valspar Fast Prep Ready-To-Use Solution to etch it (make sure to read instructions on the container!)  Step 4 - Let the surface completely dry before applying the coating. If you have any cracks, use a patch & repair product to fill them in. If you’re looking for better adhesion to the topcoat, use Valspar Concrete Bonding Primer. Once the surface is clean & dry, it’s time to paint!
